Who

We

Are.

Our Experience

Telehealth, e-therapy, or online counseling is quickly becoming the trend amongst practitioners of all types.  Many therapists now offer online counseling through their regular brick and mortar private practice as a tack-on service.  What sets us apart is that we are a 100% telehealth practice.  Online is what we do!  That means we will be able to help you navigate any issues with technology and have a clear understanding of the nuances of the therapeutic relationship that develop.  We are also telehealth certified!  We will talk about what is involved in participating in therapy via our secure platform with you right up front.  We will walk you through all the ins and outs until you feel relaxed and comfortable, just as if we were in the same room together.

Our Goal

We will create a compassion focused, meaningful and safe space for you where you can feel free to share whatever is on your mind without judgement.  We are committed to your journey of self-discovery and healing in a way that provides comfort while simultaneously gently challenging roadblocks to growth.  We will bring our passions and experience into each session and will work to make the most of our time together, whether that be solution focused brief therapy or something long term.  We will not practice outside of our scope and if we are not the right fit for you for any reason, we will do our best to help you find someone who will be.

Susan Louchen, M.S. CALT SLDS
Certified Academic Language Therapist

Susan enables students ages 5+ to transform from struggling to successful.  A professional Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), she provides the Orton-Gillingham based Multisensory Structured Language Therapy for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, or related conditions. Reading for accuracy, with fluency and comprehension, is integrated with writing (handwriting, spelling, grammar & mechanics, composition). Dyslexic learners, often as early as ages 5-6, are painfully aware that they "don't get it" when they try to read and write. Untreated, dyslexia worsens. Susan is in private practice in Virginia:  Haymarket, Manassas, Warrenton and the Gainesville areas.  She is available to consult via secure video chat for those in other parts of the state or if you are just looking for information about getting the best help for your child.  Visit her website:  www.keytoreading.com to learn more.
